Business and delivery models

When you have contacted someone in our sales organisation, we go through your request. The business aspects and basis for an agreement are discussed, e.g., delivery timber or biofuel, haulier, destination, price model and included services. The services included determine the supplementary costs. Such additional costs could be the FSC premium, a deviation in the process, or delivery plan costs. As the customer, you are often obliged to provide some form of payment security.

Sveaskog is normally the haulier and takes responsibility for the transportation of the timber to a stipulated destination where measurement is carried out and the goods is handed over to the purchaser. In cases of delivery abroad, one or more means of transport may be employed: rail, sea and/or road.

We have two price models: Fixed price free at agreed destination (transportation cost included), and Free at roadside with cost for transportation to the agreed destination excluded. The supplement can be fixed or variable (actual cost). With transportation by sea, the delivery condition FOB (Free On Board) or CIF (Cost Insurance and Freight) usually applies.
