Economic responsibility
Economic responsibility is about securing the long-term value of the forest. Sveaskog operates sustainable forestry, which includes managing and developing the forest holdings, providing returns to the owner and being a long-term and stable seller of wood raw material. We invest in new, eco-compliant and efficient technology and conduct land sales at market prices. Through profitable business we create job opportunities, especially in the parts of the country with fewer job opportunities.
Environmental responsibility
We want to decrease our negative impact on the environment, biodiversity and climate. Our work is based on our environmental policy and environmental tagets. The forestry operation is run in accordance with Swedish FSC standards, giving a balance between production and environmental consideration. Forest absorbs carbon dioxide, and active use of forest reduces the greenhouse effect and climate change.
Social responsibility
In order to be entrusted to conduct business and develop operations, Sveaskog must be a good business partner and employer. We run responsible business based on our code of conduct and policies, and contribute to prosperity and sustainable development in the local community.
