Since our purpose is to develop all the forest's values and stimulate diversified use of the land, we work with different types of planning.
Among other things, planning is the basis for decisions on land use at landscape level, felling, silviculture, roads, nature conservation, cultural environment conservation and wildlife management.
We plan in both the short and long term. For example, we have a long term felling plan that determines how much Sveaskog can fell over the coming decades. We also form operative plans for each felling operation, which determine the procedure as well as which individual trees, groups of trees and edge zones will be left in place for nature conservation purposes.
