Cultural environment conservation

The forest's cultural riches are saved for the next generation.

Forest possesses fantastic cultural riches. Evidence of former times can be found everywhere. Some not so obvious, others much more so. We at Sveaskog have been on various forest oriented cultural inheritance courses to help us locate and recognise both cultural and ancient remains. This enables us to preserve them for posterity.

We discover cultural riches in the form of the remains of homesteads and Lapp tents, gardens with cultivated plants, mounds of stones and walls, rock-carvings and trapping pits, charcoal beds, watermills and much more.
