We own a rather small part of Sweden's mountain forest, 140,000 hectares. As with all our other land, we care for mountain forests in accordance with FSC standards. This entails extra consideration for nature in them. Since special regulations apply for mountain forests, we have not included this extra consideration in our environmental goal, 20% nature conservation. We think of mountain forests, therefore, as a nature bonus.
Where it is permitted, some forestry operations are run, but virgin mountain forest, key biotopes and other valuable areas are left completely undisturbed.
