Our most common trees

Are you familiar with the most common types of trees?

Sveaskog owns 15 per cent of the forest land in Sweden and is the country's largest forest owner. Pine and spruce are the most common types of trees in northern Sweden whereas broadleaf species are the most common in the south. On Sveaskog land, pine dominates comprising 60 per cent of all the trees. About a third of our forest is spruce and the remainder is broadleaf. Birch, aspen, beech and oak are the most common broadleaves.
