Skogen i Skolan (forest in the school), is a nationwide collaborated programme between schools and Sweden's forest interest groups. The project was started in 1973 and is run on the schools' terms.
The central theme is to, as far as possible, combine theory and practice in order to increase the teachers' and pupils' interest in and knowledge of the forest and all its different values, as well as to facilitate a better understanding of the forest's connection to the country's most important industry.
Sveaskog is represented in the Skogen i Skolan management group and partakes in the activities carried out in the various geographical regions. We involve ourselves in study visits and in connection with 'Forest days' at different places throughout the country.
