Here are answers to the most frequent questions about our trainee programme.

1. Who are you looking for?

We're mainly looking for people with formal education in the field, with majors in forestry, forest technology, forest science or forest engineering and who have graduated within the past three years.

2. What are the terms of employment for a trainee?

The first six months is a period of trial employment. After this, you can be permanently employed.

3. How long is the trainee programme?

The programme runs for about 18 months. This can vary somewhat depending on the contents of the individual component.

4. What will I be able to do during the 18 months?

You will receive both practical and theoretical training within all parts of Sveaskog. An external project manager course is included and you will be able to lead and conduct a larger project yourself.

5. Can you describe the recruiting profile?
  • You have graduated with a forestry degree within the past three years, and have earned at least 180 points.
  • Your goal is to eventually become a management employee or qualified specialist.
  • You are prepared to move and have a class B driving license.
  • You are curious, goal oriented and responsible.
6. Will you have more trainee programmes?

We plan to employ new trainees every year.

7. What should be included in the application?

The application is to include a personal presentation (that among other things, explains why you want to become a trainee at Sveaskog) and a CV. It is good if you can emphasise an area or duties that you are especially interested in.

8. Are there opportunities to work abroad?

Not at present in that our core operations are conducted in Sweden.
