CEO’s comments
“Sveaskog’s sales of wood raw material decreased of just over 7% compared with the same period last year. The main decrease was in sales from Sveaskog’s own forest and in sales of sawlogs, which are the most valuable products.
“The Swedish wood products industry currently has problems with profitability and is experiencing continues uncertainty about how demand and prices will develop,” says Sveaskog’s CEO P-O Wedin.
January-September
- Net sales amounted to SEK 4,949 million (5,121). Delivery volumes fell by 7% while average prices rose 4% compared with the same period in the previous year.
- Profit from continuing operations decreased to SEK 749 million (1,011). The decrease is explained by lower deliveries, primarily of sawlogs from own forests.
- Change in value of forest assets amounted to SEK 332 million (219).
- Operating profit amounted to SEK 1,185 million (1,481).
- Profit for the period was SEK 751 million (983).
