Comments on the Greenpeace report

On September the 27th, Greenpeace published Its report "Wiping away the boreal" which among other things is a comment on the forest industry's consideration for nature.

Their criticism is based on reasoning about High Value Forest Landscapes (HVFLs) and Forest Value Cores (FVCs). Sveaskog's FVCs identified in "Wiping away the boreal" are already almost 100% protected.

Sveaskog welcomes debate about nature conservation which should be based on facts. We are focused on continued contribution to the national environmental objectives and on constructive participation in the development of forest nature conservation.

Olof Johansson, Head of Forest Policy, Sveaskog
