The Percy Assarsson Grant

The Percy Assarsson Grant

Percy Assarsson was up until his death a long time employee at Mörrums Kronolaxfiske, ending his career as Area Manager (2005-2011). Through this grant we honour his memory and celebrate a leading light in the development of fish care and the environment for the salmon in the river Mörrum.

To encourage students and develop their knowledge of fish care and fish management, Mörrums Kronolaxfiske has established a grant, to be allocated to one or two students every year. These students should show a burning desire and natural aptitude to work with this subject matter, while they should also possess the potential for development. A natural curiosity for research in this area is also a merit.
The student or students that are chosen will be given placement during the most active weeks of spring. There they will be part of the research and fish care that takes place. The student will also be provided with accommodation and receive a 5000Sek travel grant to be used in conjunction with attainment of knowledge.
Applications for this grant, including a personal letter, should have arrived before the 15th of November prior to the coming season. A prerequisite for applying for the grant is that you are already studying a fish care syllabus. The recipients of the grant will be chosen by representatives of Kronolaxfisket and Sveaskog.
