Rules & license description

Look at our special angling rules for those of you who bought a fishing license.

According to the Swedish Board of Fisheries' regulations (FIFS 2004: 37), fishing rods may not be baited with worms. Keep in mind that it is forbidden to move fish between different waters without a permit.

Regardless of which fishing license you bought for angling, all catch must be re-released at the place where you caught it. You have no right to kill or bring fish home.

The basic rule is to always handle the fish as gently as possible. It is always your own responsibility to handle these with the utmost respect.

• Always try to minimize drill time. The fish can be damaged during the fight due to overproduction of lactic acid in the muscles.

• Air exposure increases the strain on the fish. It is usually possible to take a quick picture, but never let it happen at the expense of the fish's health. Try to keep the fish as much as possible in the water.
• When handling the fish, remember to wet your hands. The fish have a mucus layer that protects them from bacteria. If the layer is destroyed by incorrect handling, the fish can be exposed to infections.

• Never lift the fish, which should be re-released in the gills or in the tail with the head down. The health of the fish must always come first. A good photo, exact length and weight are of secondary importance.

• Use nets when landing. Avoid laying the fish directly on land without a wet surface, use a unhook mat or similar.

It is forbidden to direct fishing for salmon, sea trout or hybrids. Bottom angling and fishing with float or casting float are allowed. Anglers are expected to give preference to fly fishermen and spin fishermen during the period March 27 to September 30. 

It must be possible to present the fishing license at the request of supervisory staff together with valid identification. Fishing license does not have to be in printed format, digital works well.

Summer angling

Summer fishing license are mostly intended for our younger fishermen and summer tourists. The license is valid for fishing in pools 3, 5, 6 & 7 during the period 1/6 - 31/8 according to the fishing map - summer.

Quantity: 10 pcs per day

Period: 1/6 - 31/8 2021

Price: SEK 50. Everyone under the age of 18 fishes for free. Get your fishing license at Mörrums Kronolaxfiske at Laxens Hus.

Specimen Ide

Specimen Ide is an exclusive license for anglers who want to focus their fishing on the very large Ide on the lower part of Mörrum river. This fishing license gives access only to pool 13 & 14.

Quantity: 2 pcs per day

Period / Place: 1/4 - 30/4 2021, 1/10 - 30/11, according to angling map Ide.

Price: 180 SEK

Specimen Angling

Specimen Angling is intended for anglers who want to direct their fishing for Dace, Perch, Roach, Tench, Chub etc.

Quantity: 8 pcs per day

Period: 1/4 - 30/9 according to map 1, 1/10 - 15/3 2021/22 according to map 2
