Our mission
Sveaskog is owned by the Swedish State. The Company’s mission is to operate on a commercial basis and to generate a normal market return.
The Company is to be an independent actor with its core activities in forestry, but will not have its own major interests as an end-user of forest raw material. It may engage in related activities, if such activities serve to increase the company’s returns.
The company will, for a fair market price, divest a total of up to 60,000 hectares of forest land that is productive but not worth protecting, mainly above and close to the mountain forest boundary, to be used as replacement forest for individual forest landowners, as well as for jointly owned and managed forest properties in what are known as common and district-scale common forests.
