Sveaskog has a wholly owned subsidiary, Sveaskog Baltfor SIA, and owns 50 per cent of the timber processing company Setra Group AB, which is an associated company.
Sveaskog Baltfor SIA
Sveaskog Baltfor SIA is one of the largest Swedish-owned timber purchasing companies in Latvia. Its headquarters are located in Riga.
Sveaskog imports about 1 million cubic metres of timber annually. Most of the timber comes from the subsidiary Sveaskog Baltfor SIA, which is responsible for imports from the Baltic market. Imports consist of pulpwood, cellulose chips and a growing share of biofuels.
Setra Group
Setra Group is one of Sweden’s largest wood processing companies, and a leading player in Europe. Sveaskog owns 50 percent and reports Setra as an associated company.
Setra Group offers environmentally certified wood products for interior design and construction to customers in the building trade and industry.
