Sveaskog Baltfor SIA is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Swedish forestry company Sveaskog AB and one of the leading timber trade companies in Latvia.
The company was established in 1996 under the name Baltfor Ltd. The main activities of the company involve deliveries of round wood, wood chips and fuel wood to industrial customers, primarily in Sweden.
Sveaskog Baltfor offers cost effective sea, railway and road based transports, and also organization of logistic solutions. Sveaskog Baltfor has an effective network of storage and handling terminals in the Baltic countries and conducts timber handling in four Baltic ports.
The company is active on both the local and regional markets.
