Green Bonds

Sveaskog has issued Green Bonds on several occasions since 2016.

Today, the major share of the company’s borrowing is obtained through short- and long-term public borrowing programmes. Sveaskog also has access to a number of bilateral loan agreements. We have developed a new Green Bond Framework, dated 26 March 2026, in line with the EU's new taxonomy, which is also reviewed with a third party opinion, S&P Global. SEB acted as adviser.

In 2023, Sveaskog became the first forestry company in Europe to establish a green financing bond framework aligned with the EU taxonomy, and the 2026 framework is also taxonomy-aligned. The updated framework also includes the possibility of allocating funds to projects in renewable energy.

The previous framework Sveaskog worked from when issuing bonds 2017-2022 and 2022-2025 can be found below under the heading "Green Bonds Reports".
